I have read the other books in this series. When I received an invitation from the publisher to read Forever in Good Hope and leave a review with my thoughts, I eagerly accepted. This is another great book for this series.
Fin is back in Good Hope and determined to change the town’s decision on allowing her brand-new fiancé to film there in December. The folks don’t want to give up their Christmas traditions even for one year.
Jeremy has always been in love with Fin, but when she comes to town, he only plans to offer his friendship. When his grandmother needs an important surgery to save her life, she refuses until she spies a ring on Fin’s finger and assumes they are engaged. She immediately agrees to the surgery.
As Fin and Jeremy enact their charade, both are drawn to each other. Fin starts remembering all the reasons why Good Hope is so important to her. When her fiancé tells her to do whatever it takes to get the town to vote in his favor, she has a huge decision before her.
Will she forsake her principles, or will she let her heart guide her?
I thoroughly enjoyed Forever in Good Hope. The plot is interesting and the cast of characters, old and new are delightful. The pacing is steady and the book is well-written with a good level of emotion.
Fin was a difficult character for me to like. She should have kicked her fiancé to the curb way sooner than she did. Fortunately, the love of a good and honorable man helped her see the error of her judgment.
Jeremy’s character is all I love in a book boyfriend from his blond good looks to his sincere love for his hometown and his grandmother. I loved his patience with Fin. Personally, if I’d been him, I would have given up, but alas, our hero does not and wins the only girl he’s ever loved. Yay! I really wanted his good nature and integrity to win out, and it did.
If you enjoy romances set in a small-town atmosphere with engaging characters and deep emotions, then you will want to check this one out. I’m enjoying this series, and I’m confident you will as well. Happy reading!
