He is everywhere. He surrounds me, wends his way under my skin. I can’t escape his strength, his intensity, his presence.

I’m trapped.
There’s nowhere to run.
Nowhere to hide.

But even if I could escape...would I be strong enough to leave?

I needed something—something big—to get myself out of the rut I’d fallen into after the car accident that killed my sister. This sailing trip was meant only to mark a new chapter in my life. Until Ethan Williams stepped on board.

Ethan radiated confidence. His darkly handsome good looks and ocean-blue eyes mesmerized me. But it was the way he looked at me that drew me in. He wasn’t looking at my past or at my scars, but the real me behind all that baggage I was trying so hard to leave behind.

But Ethan had secrets—dark, dangerous secrets. I was trapped in the middle of the ocean in a tangle of lies, sex, and violence. The problem was, I was happy to be trapped forever...if it meant I could have him.

Warning: Swept Away is a 4-part serial. This story is messy and twisted and very, very sexy. It is not for people under 18.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review. I've always enjoyed Ms. Haymore's writing style. It's so fluid and smooth with deep emotion, and there is plenty of emotion in this first volume of Swept Away. She pulled me in from the first page and kept me anxious to read more.

I normally stay away from novels written in first person present tense. So many times, the author cannot maintain this style through the entire work. That is not the case for Ms. Haymore. This story is intriguing, full of dark secrets and plenty of angst and massive amounts of sexual tension between Tara and Ethan.

This first part of the series is all in Tara's POV, except for excerpts from Justine's diary. Now that is really intriguing. The author is teasing me, keeping me wanting to read more to learn how Justine ties into this book. So much mystery, so many secrets. I can't wait to read more.

Now for the reason I gave this 4 stars. I'm having a heard time relating to Ethan, since so far, none of the story has been in his POV. I'm hoping that will change in volume 2. Right now, I'm leaning toward wanting her to pull back from Ethan and consider giving Kyle a chance. Of course, I'm sure that is not going to happen.

If you enjoy stories with a lot of mystery, secrets and intrigue, then you will definitely want to read this series. Happy reading!
