Musings
What drew me to this book was the cover, and I always enjoy
books with children in them. The Tycoon’s Revenge is a great
read, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. This is
the first book I have read by Melody Anne, but it will not be the last!
Jasmine Freeman finds herself left at the altar at the tender
age of seventeen. Shortly after this she discovers she’s pregnant. Ten years
later, her life comes crashing down again when her father’s company is involved
in a hostile takeover. The Tycoon who has purchased the company where she works
as the HR director, is none other than the same man who abandoned her.
Derek Titan is a self-made billionaire. After he finally
achieves his revenge against the man and daughter team who shattered his heart
and his father’s business ten years before, the last thing he wants or needs is
to find out the attraction between him and Jasmine still burns hot.
When he finds out he’s the father of a nine year old, he
insists on marriage, or he’ll take his son from Jasmine. Can a marriage survive
when secrets and heartache abound?
I loved this book! The Tycoon’s Revenge is an
emotionally-charged read from the first page to the last. It is a fast-paced
story, keeping me engaged throughout the entire book. The story is
unforgettable and so are the characters. This story of young lovers torn apart
by the machinations of a devious, power hungry parent touched my heart.
Jasmine’s character is truly a joy to read. Her sweet nature
and determination to raise her son on her own is commendable. Even though she
has every right to have bowed under the immense circumstances of her life, she
has still managed to remain positive and do what is best for her and her child.
After having such an unfeeling and conniving father, she totally deserved her
happy ending!
Derek is the perfect hero. Even though he sets out to
destroy Jasmine after getting her in his bed, he can’t go through with it.
While he doesn’t want to have feelings for Jasmine, he can’t deny their
passion, or follow through on his revenge, even before he finds out about his
son. It is apparent from the very beginning the he has a heart beneath his cold
exterior.
If you’re looking for a love story that will have you
rooting for the couple to find their “Happily Ever After,” then you will love The Tycoon’s Revenge as much as I did.
Since this is the first book in the series, the future billionaires are
introduced, and I look forward to reading their stories as well. Happy reading!
