The CEO Buys In by Nancy Herness is a great find. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. The story is unique and a fresh turn for a billionaire romance. I am so glad I saw this one on Facebook and downloaded it. It is available through the Kindle Unlimited program as well.
Nathan Trainor discovers the woman he thought loved him, actually is just like all the rest, only interested in the money. While drowning his sorrows at the Bellwether Club, he talks to two other men who also have woes. They make a pact and each man puts up a stake. When they find true love they can retrieve their wager. Each can win as long as they find love.
Chloe Russell is working as a temp for Trainor Electronics and gets a call to fill in for the CEO’s executive assistant because the woman has the flu. When she finds the CEO burning up with fever the next morning, she applies ice packs and calls for a nurse.
When Nathan wants Chloe in his delirium, the doctor insists she stay. When he comes out of his fever, he wants her and not just as a temp. Dare she risk her heart and have a fling with Nathan, or should she fight the temptation?
Wow! I just fell in love with both characters. The chemistry between them is off the charts from the beginning to the end. I could not read this book fast enough. In fact, I continued to read well past the time I should have gone to bed to finish it.
Ms. Herkness is a new author for me. I love her sparkling dialogue and the deep emotion in her writing. I will definitely add her to the authors I follow and can’t wait for the next book in this great series. I am sure the other two guys in the wager will have interesting stories as well.
If you are looking for a contemporary romance with a different twist, then you will love The CEO Buys In as much as I did. Oh, and the love scenes are hot, hot, hot! I highly recommend this great book. Happy reading!
