As assistant buyer for the world’s second-largest Christmas store, Kelsey Parker feels like a holiday harlot. She’s contractually obligated to promote the yuletide season. All. Year. Long. And it’s taking a toll on her spirit. But when her clueless, self-absorbed boyfriend goes on their long-anticipated romantic vacation—without her!—Kelsey is beyond disappointed to find herself tromping through the Bell Harbor snow instead of lounging on a tropical beach.

Drew Hampton is considered quite a catch among the Bell Harbor bachelorettes, but when his high school dream girl, Kelsey Parker, shows up at his grandfather’s Christmas tree lot complaining about her love life, he decides it’s long past time to get her under the mistletoe himself.

As things heat up between the two, a surprise visitor arrives, making Kelsey an offer she can’t quite believe. Now she must decide what matters most, and she just may discover the key to her happiness.

Vikki’s Musings

I am so glad I agreed to read and review this delightfully funny Christmas story, via Net-Galley in exchange for an honest review. I found myself laughing out loud numerous times. This is a great little story that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit. I always enjoy reading Christmas stories each year, and Jingle Bell Harbor is a wonderful, heart-warming book.

Kelsey Parker’s grandmother falls and breaks her hip just as Kelsey is ready to fly to Hawaii for a vacation with her boyfriend. When she receives a call to help, she goes home, but her self-absorbed boyfriend goes ahead and gets on the plane.

When she runs into Little Junior, Drew Hampton, she discovers he’s not so little anymore. After winning a date with Drew at a charity auction, should she dump Blake and date Drew, or remain in an unsatisfying relationship with a man who will always put her after his career?

Kelsey’s character has an endearingly funny personality, and I fell in love with her right away. Drew, who has had a crush on her ever since they shared a kiss while playing spin the bottle when they were fourteen years old, stole my heart. Not only is he a hot, good looking guy, he’s the boy next door, professor character archetype, a refreshing change from the typical bad boy stereo-type seen in so many romance novels.

I adored the humor in this sweet Christmas story. The plot is believable and the romance satisfying. The chemistry between Kelsey and Drew sizzles. If you are looking for a great little pick-me-up story that will have you laughing out loud, then you will thoroughly enjoy Jingle Bell Harbor. Happy reading!
